Ms. Baldry's Top Tips for your UCAS Personal Statement

Your Personal Statement must include the following content:

1. WHY do you want to study the course, showing that you understand what the course entails (modules, mode of assessment, etc.)

2. WHY you are the right person for the course e.g., explain the strengths you will bring to your study

3. HOW you have managed difficult academic situations (e.g., improving time-management, identifying your learning style, becoming more collaborative)

3. WHAT you have done inside and outside the classroom to explore your interest in this course, including any relevant internships

4. WHAT other experiences or skills do you have that are relevant to the course and or career ambitions such as, leadership, independent study, entrepreneurship.

5. WHAT are your future goals? If you do not have any at the moment be honest and say you are still exploring your options

6. WHY If you are not a UK citizen say why you want to study in the UK e.g., family support, proximity to home country, appeal of the course
